It's about time for a book haul

Hey, I'm back!
This is my first book haul after a long hiatus from blogging. These books were purchased between May to beginning of August.

From top to the bottom:
1. The Sea of Monsters By Rick Riordan
2. The Killables By Gemma Malley
3. The Perks of Being A Wallflower By Stephen Chbosky
4. Legend By Marie Lu
5. The Elite By Kiera Cass
6. Reboot By Amy Tintera
7. Prodigy By Marie Lu
8. Pure By Julianna Bagott

Well, I don't know what to say about my book haul. But as you can see, there are lots of dystopian books and I'm a big fan of dystopian.
I haven't read any of these books except for The Perks of Being A Wallflower which I loved so much. I'd read Legend By Marie Lu but it was the Indonesian version and I'm thinking to reread it again.

So yeah, not so many books were purchased.
I have a very long list for my next book haul. Hope I could get them all.

Most Wanted Books (May 2013)

I need to be more consistent with my list. Couple of months ago I had lots of books on my Most Wanted Books list and I'd only bought one book from my list. It was terrible and wrong. This month, I'll only have four books in my list and I'll try to buy three of them..... hopefully I could buy all of them.

1. Sea of Monsters By Rick Riordan

The movie is coming on August and I need to read this book! I loved the first book, it was good. I loved Rick Riordan's writing. Though I wasn't a greek myth big fan, but I loved The Lightning Thief. It was good and I'm looking forward to read the second book.

2. Gone By Michael Grant

Been spying this book for a very long time. I have to start reading Michael Grant's work soon! By soon, I mean this month!

3. Prodigy By Marie Lu

I'm still waiting for the paperback version to be sold in Indonesia. I can't afford any hardcover books this month since I've spent so much money lately. Prodigy is definitely on my top TBR list.

4. Reboot By Amy Tintera

I've watched the book trailer and it was super cool! I think this will be one of my favorite book of this year. It will be released on May 7th. I can't wait to get this one!

Have you read either of these books? Please let me know your thought about it.

First Book on May

Hey, it's May already!
Went to Grand Indonesia today and got myself a new book. I hate myself for picking up this book. My worst decision ever.

My first book of May is:

Feed By M.T Anderson.
Lots of booktubers got this book for review from Book Depository. Most of them liked the book, so I thought, why not?
And as soon as I got this book, I cursed myself. I thought I'd like this book. I've read the first few chapters and I didn't really like it. This book has a new and fresh concept, but this is about a futuristic love story. And I need to tell you this, I hate romance book. Hate it really much that I could throw it into a dumpster. (Exception for The Fault in Our Stars & Silver Linings Playbook, and probably other books that are actually good.)
I thought this book was about Sci-Fi adventure thingy, but it's not.
I should've bought Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan instead.

What the hell was wrong with me?
Why the hell did I buy this book?
Anyway, I won't judge this book any further before I actually read it. Hopefully it's going to be good. Lots of good reviews coming from people on Goodreads. I hope I'll be one of those people.

What's your first book on May? Let me know, just leave your comment below.

Failed Book Shopping

I wasn't supposed to buy any books this month. But when I heard that Periplus was having 50% off book sale, I couldn't help it. Just if you wonder, the sale is still on until May 5th. I warn you, don't put your expectation too high for the book sale.

Yesterday, I went to Pondok Indah Mall a.k.a PIM. I was hoping to get lots of cheap books. The books were actually cheap but the condition were ugly. I was about to buy: Pure By Julianna Baggot but the condition of the book was terrifying, so I decided not to buy it. Most of the books that have been on sale were in Mass Paperback and I hate Mass Paperback. I can't read a book with suck paper quality.

In the end I didn't buy any books from Periplus. But it didn't mean I didn't get new book. So I went to Kinokuniya and bought one book. I couldn't help it. It was Hardcover and the price was crazy.

The Selection By Kiera Cass.
Guess how much for this beautiful hardcover copy?
It was only 117.000 IDR. Not it wasn't on discount, it was the original price. I didn't really understand how the hardcover could be much cheaper than the paperback. I just bought it without any second thought.

The main reason I've been wanting to read this book is because my best friend from Junior High wrote a similar book like this one. Well, her book isn't published whatsoever. It's not even finished yet. But the similarity between hers and Cass is just ridiculous!
So yeah, that was why I decided to buy this one. Besides, it was so cheap. I couldn't help it.

The thing about me, I always reorganized my bookshelf everytime I buy new books. Here some pictures of my new organized bookshelf.

Upper Shelf
Lower shelf

Okay, The Selection is my last book for this month. I think I won't buy any new books for the next couple of months. I will save my money for something else and will try to finish books that I haven't yet read.

That's all for today.
Have a nice day.

MOVIE REVIEW: Beautiful Creatures

BEAUTIFUL CREATURES

Warning: This movie review is from book reader point of view. If you're looking an actual review of this movie, you're in the wrong place.

Just went to a cinema with the guys from school. I know... guys watching Beautiful Creatures... I'm not kidding. Some of friends who had watched the movie told me the movie was great whatsoever. I was hoping for the same thing about the movie since Beautiful Creatures is one of my favorite book.

Beautiful Creatures (movie) was terrible. I hate it with all my heart. I hate it, more than I hate The Host. Why? Because I actually like the book and I can't believe they ruined the movie. So basically they're trying to make Beautiful Creatures as stand alone movie and not as a series.

In order to do such things, a lot of changes need to be done. The story line changed. The pacing of the movies was incredibly fast and yet annoyed me quite much. Unlikely the book, the love story moved so fast. Too fast. Making it like any other Paranormal Teen Romance with cheesy conversation and love confession. There were lots - and by lots I mean LOTS of scene that totally different from the book.

There was no Boo Radley, Lena's dog. There was no Marian in the movie. What the fuck? When there was no Madge in The Hunger Games movie, I got it. Because Madge wasn't that important in the book. But Marian, Marian is so important. Her role in the book is pretty big! I can't believe it.

Do I have to mention the ending? They changed the fucking ending so this movie could be this stand alone Paranormal Teen Romance!!
They changed the WHOLE FREAKING THINGS in this movie. Brutally changed. Adding too much scenes, making the movie irrelevant with the book.

Alice Englert was beautiful. I really liked her as Lena Duchannes. But need to admit her acting wasn't so good. She was okay. Overall, the casts were okay. It's unacceptable. The changes they did...I can't tolerate it. I hate it. I don't understand why Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl let this kind of things happened.

I'd rather have my book not adapted into movie than watching my book brutally edited like that. The original touch of Beautiful Creatures is officially ruined for me.
The most annoying part was the guys actually kinda liked the movie! What the......
They said it was quite good. Kinda boring, but it was okay.

For me, the movie is suck. I hate it. I don't know whether it's because I had read the book or simply because it suck. I can't decide. But I believe I wouldn't have liked it either if I hadn't had read the book before. The romance wasn't that good. It was cheesy, nothing was too different from Twilight Saga. I even found myself enjoying Twilight Saga movie more than I enjoyed Beautiful Creatures.

“Mortals. I envy you. You think you can change things. Stop the universe. Undo what was done long before you came along. You are such beautiful creatures.” - Macon Ravenwood

I love this line. It was said by Macon Ravenwood. He didn't say this line in the movie. Last thing that need to be mentioned here.... there was no Crescent moon in the movie. There wasn't even Sixteen Moon song.

I hate this movie entirely. I will continue reading Caster Chronicles and pretend that I've never watched this movie. If you had read the book, don't watch the movie. You'll be pissed like me or maybe you would enjoy it, I'm not sure.

I'm mad now. Freaking mad.

BOOK REVIEW: Beautiful Creatures

BEAUTIFUL CREATURES
By: Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl
Publisher: Little, Brown and Company
Published on December, 2009
563 pages

BOOK SYNOPSIS
Lena Duchannes is unlike anyone the small Southern town of Gatlin has ever seen, and she's struggling to conceal her power, and a curse that has haunted her family for generations. But even within the overgrown gardens, murky swamps and crumbling graveyards of the forgotten South, a secret cannot stay hidden forever.
Ethan Wate, who has been counting the months until he can escape from Gatlin, is haunted by dreams of a beautiful girl he has never met. When Lena moves into the town's oldest and most infamous plantation, Ethan is inexplicably drawn to her and determined to uncover the connection between them.
In a town with no surprises, one secret could change everything.

Beautiful Creatures is just released in Indonesia cinema and I'm thinking to write a review about the book that I actually had read last month.

We have Ethan Wate as the male protagonist and this book uses his point of view. Kind of different, isn't it? Usually writers use female point of view because it's so much easier. Because female are more sensitive and have more thoughts in their minds. This is one of many other things that I love from Beautiful Creatures. It gives a different touch. We can see things from guy point of view. How he sees girls, how he needs to keep his feeling for himself because guys don't talk about it. It's really interesting, I really love it.

The story sets in South Carolina. I love how both the writers write the dialogue between the characters in South Carolina accent, making this book feel more real. Although, I need to admit when I read it, I got a little bit confuse sometimes.

There's also a bullying issue in this book. The writers had succeeded for making me to put all my sympathy to Lena Duchannes. I kept reading this book because I really wanted to know what was going to happen next to Lena. I wanted to make sure she was okay. I know guys, she's fictional but it doesn't mean I can't have sympathy for the character.

Unlikely 'Shatter Me' (I know it's not relevant to compare this book with it), the love story between Ethan and Lena isn't forced. It develops as the story goes. It's not like any other teen romance. It's not Twilight. Ethan and Lena start as friend, hanging out together, saving each other ass and then as the time goes by they just fall in love for each other. I guess this book can make me think that perhaps everything in this book is not fictional at all because it feels kind of real.

The concept of this book isn't new. But thank goodness it's about witch and not Nephilim! Too much Paranormal Romance use Nephilim as it characters.
So, Caster. It's a new thing. Witch is not a polite way to call Lena Duchannes. They prefer the term 'Caster'. They take 'Witch' and 'Wizard' as an insult. Their power somehow is interesting especially Lena because she's a Natural.
The claimed part is also interesting, although I hate how the series are all about the claiming thing.

The pacing is really slow. I guess the writers want everything to be in detail and I don't like that kind of book. But this book is worth reading. The writing is great. The story is okay. Sure, I got bored in some parts. But still, this book worth 4 out of 5 stars. I can't wait to read the next book, Beautiful Darkness.

Holiday & Book Haul

First of all, I'd like to announce happily that my National Exams had finally over. After four days of madness and struggle, I'd finally finished my study. I know the announcement hasn't come out yet, but I'm quite sure I'm gonna pass. I have to or else I'd write my suicide note in this blog. (Just kidding; Not kidding)

School had been really hectic and I had no time to read anything. Since school is finally over, there's going to be a payback! This month I got quite much books. Some of them are secondhand books, I bought it from English Book Club ID's founder, Nicole. You can find Book Club ID's twitter by clicking this link.

Books of April:
1. Struck By Lightning By Chris Colfer
2. Mockingjay By Suzanne Collins

The Mortal Instruments Series By Cassandra Clare:
1. City of Ashes
2. City of Glass
3. City of Fallen Angels
4. City of Lost Souls

The Infernal Devices Series By Cassandra Clare:
1. Clockwork Angel
2. Clockwork Princess

I know in my previous post, I told you guys that I won The Hunger Games Box Set from Periplus. So why it isn't in my book haul this month?
Well, they did a mistake. They promised me The US box set but what I got was Asian Edition box set and the books were torn and folded. It also had "Damaged Book" label on it. I complained about my inconvenience and since the box set was out of stock, they offered me a Periplus voucher worth 200.000 IDR instead. I took the offer and got City of Lost Souls and Struck By Lightning.

I'm currently have no The Hunger Games series in my bookshelf except Mockingjay. I'd sold my translated copy and currently saving up my money to get the first two books before Catching Fire movie is released.

I replaced my translated copy of Clockwork Angel as well to match my other Infernal Devices series.
I know Clockwork Princess technically is not an April's book. But the book was arrived on April, so yeah....

I won't buy anymore books because I've spent so much money for books lately and I'm currently broke because of my farewell trip with they guys to Bali this May.

For you who had school done like me, Congratulation guys you've done your best! Now go to your bed, act like a lazy pig for a day because you deserve it!
For you who still having school for the next couple of months, yes I know your life's suck. Hahahaha, Just kidding. Good luck with your school.

P.S: For this long holiday, I'll be starting on writing again. I have this huge ideas of Dystopian World and I'm currently developing it. Wish me luck guys!

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Exclusive Teaser Trailer

How long have I been waiting for this? I'm not sure. Maybe since the first time I watched The Hunger Games. Maybe since I heard that they were filming Catching Fire. I can't be sure. But I'm sure enough, I've always been excited for a little spoiler. Photos from the set, Teaser poster and trailer. Have you ever watched a 2 minutes long teaser trailer? Does it called as teaser when it's two minutes long? Yes, it is. Why?

Because this trailer nearly gives me nothing. No appearance of the other tributes. No Quarter Quell scene. There's no hint how the arena gonna look like. This trailer is teasing me. I hate it. I want the actual trailer to release... NOW!

I love the music in this trailer. I love President Snow's speech though it sounds kind of cruel. We all hate him, but he has the charisma of being a cruel old man. There's a scene of Gale being whipped. The rebel old guy that got shot in the head for doing the three fingers thing. The rebellion in other district. Primrose Everdeen.

I can't imagine how the actual trailer gonna look like. Seriously.
The teaser trailer is so awesome that I got chill.
I can't wait for the actual trailer.
I can't wait to reread the book.
I can't wait for the movie.

November 22nd, 2013. It's gonna worth the wait guys. Believe me.

May the odds be ever in your favor, tributes.

First Book on April & Winning A Contest

Today is Friday, which means it's only a week away from the most terrifying part of being a national school student in Indonesia, National Exams. After being so terrified and depressed, I had nice things happening to me at the beginning of April.
There were two things that just happened (hopefully there will be more)

The first one... It's here people.. It's here...

Yep, my hardback copy of Clockwork Princess By Cassandra Clare. When I held the book in my hand for the first time, it didn't feel right. I think I'd prefer the Paperback but... meh...
I just want to read it right after I got it, but I still have 200 pages of Beautiful Creature that need to be read. I really hate school right now for taking away my reading time.

The excitement didn't end right there.

Periplus twitter account (@Periplus_Store) was having a contest for April Mop. The prize for the winner was this beautiful box set.

Guess who won it!
Yes people, I won it! I still can't believe that I could win the contest.
I was going to get the box set last month, but I decided not to get it because I didn't have much money. Thank God I didn't buy the box set!

April has been amazing so far. I can't wait for another surprises.

Wish me luck for my National Exam. Please.

CITY OF BONES OFFICIAL SECOND TRAILER

"Everyday you live your life ordinary, normal. But there's only so long you can't hide from the truth."

HOLY SHIT! Hodge's speech gave me chills!

Yes, it's here people! The official second trailer of THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: City of Bones. The trailer was showed at the Wondercon few days ago. But from today, all the Mundanes can watch it till they go nuts!

The thing about this trailer: IT IS SO MUCH COOLER THAN THE FIRST TRAILER! The first trailer was the reason I read City of Bones. But this second trailer makes me want to read all the books of The Mortal Instruments!
We can see lots of things in this trailer. Magnus Bane, Jocelyn Fray aka Clary's Mom, The werewolves pack and lots of other things!

I still think that Jamie Campbell doesn't fit as Jace Wayland, but I won't judge until I see the movie.

I can't wait for the movie to be released. Just reminding you once again, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones will be released on August 23rd. So relax, keep reading the books and wait until the movie hits the theater!

March Wrap Up & Book Haul

Hey Ho Bookworms!
I can't believe March is almost over which means my National Exam is only two weeks away. So not ready!
In the middle of school madness and being really hectic, I've managed to read and buy some books this month. I need to say, this month I've gone crazy with books.

Starting from my March Wrap Up. I read 5 books! I've never read more than two books a month and this is my best achievement in my reading challenge so far.

From the top:
1. Legend By Marie Lu (Indonesian Version)
2. Enclave By Ann Aguirre
3. The Fault in Our Stars By John Green
4. Clockwork Prince By Cassandra Clare
5. The Lost Symbol By Dan Brown

I did enjoy Legend, Clockwork Prince and The Lost Symbol. But I wasn't really into The Fault in Our Stars and Enclave. I don't know if I'm going to get the second of Enclave, but hopefully I can save some money to get it, just to complete my collection.

Next, March Book Haul!
I thought I wasn't going to get new books for this month because I'm currently saving my money for my very long holiday after the National Exam. But I couldn't help myself not to buy Clockwork Princess when it came out. There was also a special discount on Periplus.com. So yeah, at last I got four books for this month.

For this month I got:
1. Beautiful Creatures By Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl; The first book of the Caster Chronicles.
2. Beautiful Chaos By Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl; This is the third book of the Caster Chronicles. Got it for only 25.000 IDR. The book condition is terrible. The top edges has turned yellow. Not to mention the poor condition of the other edges. But for only 25.000 IDR, I guess it's worth it. I'm going to get the second book asap.
3. Uncommon Criminals By  Ally Carter; This is the second book of The Heist Society. I got the hardcover for only 50.000 IDR. I haven't read the first book. I think I'm going to skip the first book and read this first.

My hardback copy of Clockwork Princess hasn't arrived yet. Apparently it's still in process of shipping from the US. Periplus just e-mailed me, telling me that it will takes another week for the book to arrive. I guess I'll just have to wait.
The worst part is the paperback version is already available at all bookstores! Damn..... I'd probably be the last person to read the last book...
This month I got all these books that should be for girls. I know.... Mock me for that. I don't really care. I'm just interested with the whole caster things and the thievery.

***

Last to be mention, my Periplus Elite Card just arrived!

I thought I couldn't spend 500.000 IDR for books in just two months. Guess what people, I'm always wrong about myself.
For the last two months, I'd spent 757.000 IDR for books at Periplus... I think I have problem with book shopping.

If you're interested to get this Elite Card, just click HERE for more information about it.

Well, that's it guys. My wrap up and book hauls. Hope you enjoy.

Cassandra Clare and Her Shadowhunter World: Don't You Have Enough of It?

Who doesn't know The Mortal Instruments & The Infernal Devices?
This famous series all are written by Cassandra Clare. All the booktubers have her books. Some love it, some hate it. As for me, I love The Infernal Devices but I don't really like The Mortal Instruments.
The last book of The Infernal Devices, Clockwork Princess, was released a week ago. My copy is still on its way from the US.

So today I just read an article, saying that Cassandra Clare is working on her new upcoming trilogy, The Dark Artifices, which is a sequel of The Mortal Instruments. It will be a trilogy.
It means counting with the prequel, the actual series and the sequel; there will be 12 books about Shadowhunter.
I was so surprised when I heard that Cassandra Clare will also make another trilogy after The Dark Artifices.

RT @nataliebird345: " How many book series about shadowhunters are you planning to do?" I was planning five -- four trilogies and TMI.

RT @MariahSmith234: " so there will be another series after TLH?" one after TDA. It goes TiD-TLH-TMI-TDA-Sekrit unnamed project

RT @angelicamae_s: " TID, TLH and TDA.. that's only 3 trilogies. Will the fourth one be after TDA??" yes.

I'm starting to feel that Cassandra Clare doesn't want to move on. She's in her comfort zone right now. Don't get me wrong, I think she's a really good writer. But don't you think it's time to move on?

When a series has 6 books, I think it's already too much. When the 6 series books have a prequel, it's great. And when the prequel gets a sequel?

Well, time to stop Cassandra. Why?

Imagine this. In the future, 20 years from now, when our kids wanted to read books from our time. We recommended them Cassandra Clare's work and when they discovered there were 20+ books about Shadowhunter, do you think they would still read it? No. They would refuse to read it and read Harry Potter instead.

So yeah, I think it's great for Cassandra to keep writing but she needs to find a new world, new characters. Shadowhunter world is amazing but leaving it behind will make everybody remember it, miss it. By keep writing it, people will get bored and for people who haven't read her works will have no intention to read her works because it's too much.

This is just my thought.
Don't kill me.

MOVIE REVIEW: The Host

I'm still remember getting this book as my 14th birthday gift from my friend. I got the Indonesian translation. I'd only managed to read half of it. Why? Because the book was so boring. Too much talking. Nothing was really captivating. Then a year later, I gave it another chance. I reread it and once again, I failed. I couldn't finish the book. Few months later, I saw the English version at my school library which was really surprising. I (once again) gave it another try. I thought maybe if I read the English version I'd have liked it better and maybe I could finish it. Guess what, guys? I didn't finish it. I just couldn't. The book was too boring and I just couldn't stand it. I didn't even give a fuck about the ending and stuff.

When I heard The Host was becoming a movie, I don't know, I just got so excited about it. The movie trailers were good and I thought maybe the movie would be so much better than the book. I was wrong..

***

Earth has been invaded by aliens. They call it, Souls. All the human body are taken by Souls. Only few survivors left, including Melanie Stryder. Unfortunately, she's found by Seeker whom job is too find the survivors. Wanderer who gets Melanie's body as her host, tries to get the location of other survivors. Too bad for Wanderer; Melanie wants to live. Melanie's soul still stays in her body. The journey begins when Melanie force Wanderer to find the location where all the people she loves are staying.

We have Saoirse Ronan as Melanie Stryder. Everybody knows her as Susie Salmon in The Lovely Bones. I love Saoirse Ronan and no doubt her performance in this movie is really great.
I love the movie set. Visually, the movie is really great. The desert, the cave, the town... everything is just beautiful. My eyes were like having an orgasm. The concept of this movie sounds interesting which makes lots of people just curious about this movie. Beware people, it's a trap.

Well, here is the thing. If you imagine this movie as any other Sci-Fi, you're absolutely wrong!
This is no any typical Sci-Fi. This is a romance, a cheesy romance that uses Sci-Fi as it theme. This is Twilight all over again just with a different genre.
I think the plot is just poor. The movie is so different from the book, maybe they're trying to make it better than the book. Trying to take all the details that would probably make the audience bored. Guess what people, they don't success. The movie is still BORING!
The world building is just suck. I mean this is a Sci-Fi, we're talking about aliens that have invaded earth. At least, give the audience the world details. We want action. We want to see how the earth is after Souls have taken it.
But no, everything in this movie is just about Melanie and her love-life. There were several scenes where supposedly to be scenes with suspense and action, but it was all terrible. Not impressive at all.

Whoever wrote the script, I don't like him/her. Why?
There were a scene where Jared kissed Wanderer. Then, Melanie got angry and she controlled Wanderer's hand to slap Jared. And then Jared went all shock and said, "I knew it. You're there Melanie. You slap me because you're angry I'm kissing Wanderer."
Really? When you kiss a girl, in this case, not longer your lover and she slap you, I don't know.... maybe she just doesn't like it? Because it's rude? But no, Jared make a weird assumption.

Overall, this movie is SUCK. Boring and it's not like what I'd expected. If you're into Twilight Saga, you will definitely love this movie. If you're a true fan of Sci-Fi, I warn you don't watch this movie. You'll hate it and curse Stephenie Meyer just like I did.... ( I tweeted "Thanks Stephenie Meyer for ruining Sci-Fi)

If you're Stephenie Meyer's fans, please don't be mad at me. I'm just writing my opinion based on the truth. I don't like this movie at all.

I give this movie: 1/5

Nicely Wrapped Sunday #2

Hey guys!
How's your Sunday so far?
Mine? Despite from all the exams I'm still having this week, it's nice.

This morning, I had my first violin concert. I was so nervous, thank God it went pretty well. I did some minor mistakes, but you couldn't be perfect at your first time, right?

Rainy Tunes Concert.
So I played duet with a girl named Angela, we played The Prayer. I really love that song, so yeah I did enjoy playing it for my first concert.

Right after the concert finished, I went to a book store.. Well, after a long exam weeks and being under pressure, I need to buy books. Just to cheer myself.

It was kinda surprising when my mom let me buy a book. She never really liked my reading madness. But today, she bought me one.

Beautiful Creatures By Kami Garcia & Margaret Stohl. I really wanted the original cover of it, but Periplus only had the movie tie in edition so I guessed, Why not?
In Indonesia, the movie hasn't come out yet. So I still have plenty of times to finish this before I watch the movie. I don't really know why I'm so curious with the Caster series. Right after I watched the Beautiful Creatures movie trailer, I fell in love with it. It captivated me. Not to mention the soundtrack!
I love Florence & The Machine and their song, Seven Devils, fits perfectly with Beautiful Creatures.

This book is quite thick. Around 500/600 pages, I'm not sure. Well, I'm still reading The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown which is super thick!  I don't know when exactly I'm going to start with Beautiful Creatures, hopefully soon enough.

My copy of Clockwork Princess is still in its way to my home. It will probably arrive next week. Lots of booktubers have it in their book haul and I just can't wait!

Oh yeah, I have to mention this!
I'm doing a quite fun thing for christmas (Call me a weirdo), so I'm saving all the small change in this ugly moneybox which I bought for only 3.000 IDR

So what's the point of doing this?
I never got any christmas gift, since my parents don't celebrate christmas.
So I guess, why not buy myself a christmas gift?
That's when I have this idea of saving all the small change until the christmas. I'll buy lots of books as my christmas gift then, using the small change I've been saving. Pretty fun, right? (Or not)

Wish me luck for my yet another exam weeks. Just few weeks away from the national exam. I can't wait... Hahahaha

Have a nice weekend!

Most Wanted Books (March 2013)

Hey guys!
This month is mad. School has been really hectic with all the try outs and the exams. I can't believe I'm only two weeks away from the National Exam. It's really freaking me out. I'm not a smart guy, so I'm concern that I'm going to fail, but hopefully I have to get this through and I know I won't fail the exam!

This month, I've had make a long list of my most wanted books. Here it is..

1. Delirium By Lauren Oliver

As most of you guys know, Delirium is going to be a TV Show soon with Emma Roberts as the main character, Lena. I'm a big fan of dystopian and it's a shame that I haven't read this best selling dystopian. I'll definitely read this before the TV Show comes out.

2. Uglies By Scott Westerfeld

This is like a really old dystopian before The Hunger Games & Divergent were released. I know lots of people been talking about this dystopian and I really love the concept of this book. I'll totally buy the box set since it's so much cheaper.

3. Gone By Michal Grant

Another dystopian in my list. Gone By Michael Grant. This cover is a reprint edition and I hate it so much. I prefer the old cover, it's so much cooler. This cover make this book look like a cheesy romance book. Heard lots of good reviews about this one, I'll buy this possibly next month.

4. Battle Royale By

February Book Haul

Oh finally, it's March! I can't believe I've passed the first two months of 2013. Anyway, I'm doing another Book Haul this month!

The books I got last month:

1. Warm Bodies By Isaac Marion
2. Legend By Marie Lu
3. The Power of Six By Pittacus Lore
4. The Fault in Our Stars By John Green
5. My Life as Film Director By Haqi Achmad
6. Clockwork Prince By Cassandra Clare
7. The Lost Symbol By Dan Brown

Last month, I'd only got three books in English, Clockwork Prince, The Fault in Our Stars and this the ones I bought on the last day of February;

Enclave By Ann Aguirre
. I saw this book on January at Periplus and it just caught my eyes. The cover was okay, but the synopsis was amazing. I think I'm going to love this book.

I didn't actually buy all the books I got on February. Some of them, I got from a giveaway on Twitter.

Both in Indonesian and now I have two copies of The Power of Six....

I'd only managed to read two books last month. School's been really hectic and I've no time to sit down, relax and read books.

The worst book of the month goes to:

I hate the cover in every way. I was hoping to get the original cover and I got the movie cover instead... Suck. So does the story.
I hate it. This is the most boring and predictable book. Everything is about LOVE and DRAMA and I don't like that kind of book. In fact, I'm now selling this book on KasKus because I can't stand seeing this trashy book in my bookshelf.

Guess what, my bookshelf is once again, full. I don't know where all the other books need to be placed.

February was amazing. March is so much better. I can't wait to get Clockwork Princess and Dualed. Hope you have a nice weekend!

Mid-February Book Haul

Chinese New Year was a week ago and thank God my family was celebrating it. So yeah, there's some of

this. Yeah, we call it Ang Pao. No, the picture above is not mine, I just take it randomly from google. Got easy money just made me wanted to get some new books which I did.
I'm going to do a book haul every each month but I guess I'm going to do a mid-month book haul sometime as well. Does this sound like I'm bragging? Yeah, it does.

The first book I got back in the beginning of the month, The Fault in Our Stars by John Green (Paperback Edition). I should've gotten the hardcover edition!
Haven't had time to read this ones, but I'd gotten it unwrapped. I just couldn't stand not seeing what was inside this book that make most people crazy about it. I can't wait to go through this book.

This is not a novel! My Life as Film Director by Haqi Ahmad. A book about how Film Director's life is. Since I'm so into Film Directing and there's also Joko Anwar, one of my favorite Film Director, I guess why not? As you might guess, I haven't read this one and it's still wrapped. I guess I'm going to save it for later.

The last ones and my favorite, Clockwork Prince By Cassandra Clare. *Crowd Cheering*
Since I read the first book, Clockwork Angel which I loved so much, I've been dying to get the second book. Bought this at Periplus for 110.000 IDR. It's worth it.
I'm currently struggling with City of Ashes. School has been really hectic these days, I don't have enough time to read. I can't really know when exactly I'll read this, but hopefully asap. I need to finish this before the third book, the last ones, release.

So guys, these are my new books for this mid-february and there are more coming. I think I'm going to visit Periplus soon enough and I need your advice.
Which book should I buy for this month?

1. Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi
2. City of Glass by Cassandra Clare
3. Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia & Margareth Stohl
4. Starters by Lisa Price
5. The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan
6. Legend by Maria Lu
7. Every Day by David Levithan
8. Every Other Day by Jennifer Lynn Barnes
9. Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan

OR

10. Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L James

Hahahahaha... Just kidding guys, I won't buy that trash, though I really curious with that trash... but no I won't spend my money on that.
Leave your comment below and let me know which book should I buy. Thank you, Have a nice February!
